The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed that its Presidential Primary Election and National Convention will still hold on Friday, October 5, to Saturday, October 6.
Some of the top political heavyweights who will contest for the PDP presidential ticket includes; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Governor Aminu Tambuwal, Senate Ahmed Makarfi and others.
Also, the Governorship Primary Election across the states will hold on Wednesday, September 26.
The Senatorial Primary Election will hold on September 28, while the House of Representatives Primary will hold on Sunday, September 30.
On Tuesday, October 2, the State House of Assembly Primary will hold.
According to the PDP, this clarification for the dates for presidential and other primaries was due to enquires from the public and vast majority of Nigerians.
“This clarification is sequel to enquiries from the public and vast majority of Nigerians who are now rallying on the platform of our repositioned PDP to vote out the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) and return our nation to the path of national cohesion and economic prosperity, come 2019.”
