In an ongoing restructuring in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), 55 top management staff have been reportedly redeployed or appointed in a major management shake-up announced on Tuesday.
Roland Ewubare, who was the former Managing Director of the Integrated Data Services Limited (IDSL), is now newly appointed as the Group General Manager, GGM, National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS).
Diepriye Tariah, a former GGM and Senior Technical Assistant to the Group Managing Director, Baru, would take over as the Managing Director of IDSL.
Also, the Executive Director Operations of the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC), Malami Shehu, was appointed the Managing Director, Port Harcourt Refining Company.
Adewale Ladenegan, the former Managing Director of the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC), will now assume duty as new Managing Director at Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company.
According to Maikanti Baru, the Group Managing Director of NNPC, the shake would reposition the NNPC for the challenges ahead as well as fill up gaps created due to statutory retirements of staff.
Muhammed Abah, a former Executive Director (Operations) of WRPC, will take over from Mr. Ladenegan as the MD of WRPC.
Following the retirement of Farouk Ahmed, Umar Ajiya, a former GGM in charge of Corporate Planning and Strategy (GGM CP&S), was appointed the Managing Director at the Nigerian Products Marketing Company (NPMC). So, Bala Wunti, a former General Manager, Downstream, GMD’s Office, takes over as GGM CP&S.
Others includes Usman Yusuf who takes over as GGM/STA to GMD, Adeyemi Adetunji as MD NNPC Retail, and Bola Afolabi as GGM in charge of Research and Development Division.
Mrs. Ahmadu-Katagum was also appointed GGM (Shipping) in the Downstream Autonomous Business Unit, while Kallamu Abdullahi takes over as the GGM of the Renewable Energy Division in the Downstream Autonomous Business Unit.
Shaibu Musa was promoted to the position of a Managing Director of the NNPC Medical Services Limited, while Ibrahim Birma is the new GGM in charge of NNPC’s Audit Division (Governance, Risk and Compliance Division).
