Acting Inspector General of Police Adamu reportedly reverses ex-IGP Idris’s last minute postings

Report has it that the newly appointed Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has reversed some last-minute postings and redeployments ordered by his predecessor, ex-IGP Ibrahim Idris.

The redeployment of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, by the former IGP was reportedly overturned, while the postings of other senior officers were place on-hold until further notice.

Mr. Adamu who met with Deputy Inspector Generals’ of Police in his office at the Police Force Headquarters, went around the building to familiarize himself with his men.

Adamu was appointed IGP on Tuesday following the retirement of the former IGP Ibrahim Idris who had served the mandatory 35 years and has clocked the age of 60.
