Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his return back home from London, United Kingdom, after spending over 103 days on medical leave.
Fayose congratulated the All Progressives Congress, urging them to set out to work hard to deliver the gains of democracy to Nigerian citizens.
The controversial governor, who is well known for criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC, stated this in a brief chat with journalists at the Asaba International Airport, shortly after a meeting with Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“We are happy that President Buhari is back; it is a welcome development but Nigerians are hungry, they need food, they need development.
“We, in PDP, know what is right for Nigerians; democracy is strengthened by opposition. APC should face governance squarely and give Nigerians democratic dividends,” he said.
