Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State has stated that his victory at the Court of Appeal on Thursday has validated the mandate the people of Osun freely gave to him in September 2018.
According to him, his electoral victory proved that there is always a limit to which falsehood and propaganda could be used to suppress the will of the people.
The Court of Appeal in Abuja had nullified the verdict of the Osun Election Petition Tribunal which had in March declared Senator Ademola Adeleke, the PDP candidate in the 2018 Osun Governorship Election, winner of the poll.
“After months of uncertainty and waiting in judicial wilderness, truth has finally prevailed over falsehood and the voice of the majority has ultimately gained dominance over the phony attempts to manipulate justice,” Oyetola said in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Adeniyi Adesina.
“You spoke with conviction; your voice and choice are clear to the world, and the judiciary, the last hope of the people and arbiter of the truth, has proved to the world that it is always on the side of justice,” he added. Read More on Naija Buzz

Only Justice Ita Mbaba upheld the judgment of the Osun Tribunal.
