Chief John Oyegun, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has dismissed reports that President Muhammadu Buhari was on life support as been stated by Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State.
He however noted that he could not particularly state when he would return but that he was recovering already.
Oyegun stated this after a meeting between the APC National Working Committee (NWC) and the APC Governors.
“We are glad to inform you that President Muhammadu Buhari is recovering in a very robust manner. We hope he takes it easy and when he comes back, I have no doubt at all that we will have a new and active period of activities”, said Oyegun.
Governor Fayose had earlier stated that Buhari was on life support, adding that Mrs. Aisha Buhari, his wife, has no access to even see him. Only 3 Nigerians he described as the cabal have access to see the president, Fayose said.
Responding to Fayose’s comment, Oyegun noted that he does not belong to the same class with Fayose and would not come down to his level to reply him.
“If I respond, I will be dignifying him. At the appropriate time, people will answer him; at the appropriate level; at the appropriate time. He is in a different world altogether.’’
