Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday while addressing the Nasarawa State delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said that he has no problem with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
“I don’t have any problem with former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, but if he says he has a problem (with me) that is his problem,” Atiku said in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa, when asked to talk about the alleged rift between him and his former boss.
Atiku who was in Lafia over his 2019 presidential ambition promised to take Nigeria to a higher level if elected president in 2019.
He noted that insecurity, poverty and hunger were some of the challenges militating against the progress of the nation.
He also took a jibe at President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that it was improper to describe Nigerian youths as lazy people who only needed free money, saying that Nigerian youths are excellent sportsmen and women, astute businessmen and women, among others.
President Buhari had in a statement abroad described Nigerian youths as lazy, saying that the youths only wants free money.
“If elected President of Nigeria, I will restructure Nigeria by empowering the youth, eradicate hunger and poverty, as well as fight insecurity,” he stated.
