Contrary to the perception of Nigerians, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar said that there is no serious issue of disagreement between him and his former boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Atiku who is one of the presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stated this on Thursday in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State, during an interactive session with journalists at the state secretariat of the PDP.
There was never any serious disagreement between Obasanjo and him, Atiku noted, adding that all grey areas of disagreement would be addressed after getting the nomination of the PDP.
Atiku had however revealed that he had to stop Obasanjo from his third term ambition because Obasanjo actually wanted to be president for life.
Prof. Wole Soyinka had in a recent statement noted that he told Atiku that for making President Olusegun Obasanjo to kneel down and beg him for the PDP Presidential ticket in 2003, he will pay a heavy price.
The former President also in a recent report allegedly said that God will not forgive him if he supports Atiku Abubakar to become President in 2019.
The former Vice President accused the ruling APC of lacking prerequisite knowledge needed to handle the economy, saying that his target if given the mandate would be to open the economy to attract foreign investment which will create jobs for youths.
He further expressed confidence that though President Buhari is not a democrat, he believes he will hand over power if he loses in 2019.
“Even though I know that President Buhari is not a democrat, I believe he will hand over if he loses,” he said.
