The deadly Boko Haram terrorist group has reportedly threatened an attack on a military base in Jiddari-Polo, Maiduguri, Borno State.
The sect had on Monday stormed the area, killing 4 farmers and leaving one badly injured.
A 75 year old farmer, Mala Umara, who survived the attack, revealed that the terrorists came in large numbers.
“They came in large numbers and killed four and left the other man seriously injured,” the 75-year-old farmer told AFP.
The man noted that the terrorist decided to spare him, but however told him to inform the Nigerian Army to prepare for another attack.
“They asked me to deliver a message to the soldiers that they should be prepared for an attack soon,” the old man reportedly told AFP.
Boko Haram in a recent attack overran a Nigerian Army battalion, 157 Task Force Battalion in Metele, Abadam Local Government Area of Borno State, killing the unit commander, a lieutenant colonel, and over 100 soldiers.
