Buhari in Bauchi told supporters that God will continue to fish out bad eggs from APC, saying his government has remained faithful in the implementation of its campaign promises

President Muhammadu Buhari has described those who dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as “bad eggs”.

Buhari on Thursday told his supports in Bauchi that “God will continue to fish out the bad eggs among us.” He encouraged his followers not to be worried about the recent massive defection from the APC to the PDP.

About 16 Senators, 37 House of Representative members and 3 governors have already decamped to the PDP so far.

The President was in Bauchi to kickoff the campaign rally for the Bauchi South Senatorial District bye-elections and the presentation of APC senatorial candidate (Gumau Yahaya) for the election which will hold on August 11.

Buhari who was accompanied by the APC Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, the Governors of Bauchi, Plateau, Kano, Imo States and others to Bauchi told his supporters at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, that the APC-led government had so far remained faithful in the implementation of its campaign promises. These are the same promises most politicians who left the party alleged the APC has failed to deliver.

“The work we are doing is because of God, our country and you. I want to inform you that the knowledge we have garnered over the years, we won’t allow you to be cheated.

‘‘Like we promised, what will determine a good future for the country are security, strong economy and to stop corruption.

“We campaigned on these things, you voted for us and we will never forget,” Buhari said.
