1. A delegation of the All Progressive Congress members loyal to former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, led by Alhaji Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, yesterday, submitted a fresh petition to the Police Service Commission (PSC) over the recent clash with supporters of current Kano State Governor, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje. “We want you (PSC) to look at our complaints dispassionately. We want PSC to investigate this which is more serious than the first one. We came here to seek justice. We are physically assaulted. Our people sustained various degrees of injuries. “We have been very peaceful. We have inculcated peace among our members. We will not allow violence. But this has a limit.

2. Mr. Preye Aganaba, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Thursday while speaking to newsmen in Abuja said that the APC has no choice than to present President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigerians for re-election in 2019.

Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, the Minister of Science and Technology, said that the Federal Government will ensure that Nigeria becomes a leading economy through value addition to human capital development in the area of science and technology. He said this when the Ambassador to Cuba, Carlos Trejo Sosa, visited him in Abuja.

4. Residents of Damboa town located in Damboa local government area of Borno State, have decried the killing of farms in their farmlands by the members of the Boko Haram terrorists group. According to the residents, the terrorists have in two weeks killed 21 farmers. “The world didn’t know what we are going through here. We left IDPs camp to come and start our lives but Boko Haram keep killing us. We buried 17 farmers on Saturday. We can’t go 10 kilometers away from Damboa without encountering insurgents,” Bukar Usamna, a farmer in Damboa said.
