1. The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, at a world press conference in Abuja, said that technology has already taken away the relevance of crude oil in the world following the innovations in science and technology.

2. Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday stated that the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government will start considering hate speeches as an act of terrorism and that the government will take it seriously.

3. The Speaker of the National House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, following his visit with the President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to President Muhammadu Buhari in London, United Kingdom, said that Buhari’s health has improved.

4. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will not take any action on the petition calling for the recall of Mr. Abubakar Kuki, a member of the Kano State House of Assembly. According to Adedeji Soyebi, the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, on Thursday, INEC received another written instruction from the petitioners demanding withdrawal of the petition.

5. Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday held a National Economic Council (NEC) retreat at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. All the governors of the 36 states of the Federation, service chiefs and heads of others security agencies were reportedly in attendance.
