1. $25billion NNPC Contract Scandal: Action Democratic Party (ADP) urges President Muhammadu Buhari who is also the Minister of Petroleum Resources to resign if he cannot oversee the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

2. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has faulted the statement by one of its chieftain, Alhaji Buba Galadima, who said that the party does not have and do not hold Board of Trustees meeting. Chief Sam Nkire, a member of the APC BoT, said that on Wednesday, 20 August 2014, the APC held a BoT meeting at the New Rivers State Governor’s Lodge, Adokoro-Abuja, and President Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Dr. Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso, Dr. Chris Ngige, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Chief Tony Momoh, including serving and former civilian and military governors were in attendance.

3. The Police Service Commission (PSC) in a statement on Sunday said that the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, disregards its directives, but it has no powers to discipline the IG. “The Commission also wishes to state that its powers to do this does not cover the office of the Inspector General of Police. Mr. Okechukwu Ani, the PSC Public Relations Officer, stated.
