1. The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum and Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, who is well known for criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari, expresses joy that he is back home after spending over 103 days on medical leave in London.

2. Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee, during a chat with newsmen at his Kaduna residence, said that the party’s decision to allowed the 2019 Presidential Candidate for the PDP to come from the north has not changed.  “That is the party’s position. Anything to do with the party, it is from the party leadership you will hear it, not from any other person; and that is why I am reaffirming that the position on zoning has not changed. It was the decision of the Port Harcourt convention held in May and the decision of the convention is supreme,” he said.

3. The Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Oyegun, said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s Monday national broadcast addressed core issues in the country. “Any leader must be able to set priorities. He set a very clear and unambiguous priority. The others, he will deal with in the course of time,” Oyegun said.

4. Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, urges the citizens of the state to stand against troublemakers with intention of disrupting peace ahead of the November 18 Governorship Election in the state. “We cannot allow somebody from another state to invade our peaceful state and issue unwelcome directives to us,” he said. He is apparently talking about Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
