EFCC confirms Atiku’s son-in-law is in custody for allegedly laundering 150million Euros

Suspect dies 6 hours after detention in EFCC custody

Report has it that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested the son-in-law of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for allegedly laundering 150million Euros.

Atiku’s son-in-law, Alhaji Abdullahi Babalele, who was arrested at his Abuja residence reportedly wanted to use the money for Atiku’s presidential election.

Former Vice President Atiku was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last February 23 Presidential election.

Atiku’s lawyer, Uyiekpen Giwa-Osagie, was also apprehended by the EFCC for laundering $4million.

He was arrested alongside a bureau de change operator said to have received the money which was meant for the elections too.
