Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan in a recent interview granted to the Ovation Magazine described former President Olusegun Obasanjo as the boss of all bosses in the Nigerian politics.

According to Jonathan, any politician who ignores Obasanjo does so at his/her own peril.

He further advised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to meet with his former boss (Obasanjo) if he must achieve his presidential ambition because Obasanjo has the magic wand and remained respected home and abroad.

Atiku was Nigeria’s Vice-President from 1999 to 2007 during the administration of President Obasanjo. But they however had beef as Atiku successfully fought against the third term bid of Obasanjo.

Jonathan further added that it would be impossible for Atiku to realize his presidential ambition on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that his chances of becoming president in 2019 would be bright if he contested on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“He can’t get the APC ticket. If Atiku gets our party (PDP) ticket, he would compete well,” Jonathan reportedly told Ovation Magazine.

“He’s always a passionate politician. But he would have reached out to our boss. Baba OBJ, the boss of all bosses,” he added

“We’ve all learnt at different times that you ignore OBJ at your own peril. OBJ has the magic wand, respected at home and abroad.”
