Ahead of the planned closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, the Federal Government has invited the operators of foreign airlines to visit the Kaduna International Airport to inspect things.
The invitation was extended to the airline operators at meeting on Thursday by the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika.
According to the Minister, the Kaduna Airport was ready to accommodate traffic diversion from Abuja between March 8 and April 9, when the Abuja airport would undergo repairs.
He also noted that most challenges raised by some airline operator had been addressed, urging them to visit Kaduna to see thing for themselves.
“We also planned to invite you to visit Kaduna probably in the next few days which we will be showing you the level of preparedness for the movement into Kaduna. He said
“I thought it wise that at this point in time, having made Kaduna very ready for the operation, there is need to discuss certain things with you.
“I have called this meeting to discuss how movement into Kaduna would look like and to know if there are further requirements,” he added.
