An eatery operator identified as Paul Armond, last night reportedly confessed to have poisoned the food he sold to his customers on Saturday.
The suspect was arrested by the police when many of his customers died after eating his food at his eatery locating in Ogoja, Cross River State.
Sources alleged that he decided to commit the evil crime as a way of getting back at his customers for an undisclosed reason.
According to Dr. Patrick Ubi, the Medical Superintendent of the Ogoja General Hospital where the victims were rushed to, he said that they all ate from the same source.
“After two to three hours, those who ate the food started complaining of abdominal pain; some were vomiting while others were foaming in the mouth”, Ubi said.
