Former President Bill Clinton of the United States of America will on February 15 visit Nigeria ahead of the presidential election.
Mr. Clinton is expected to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Although the reason for Clinton’s visit was not particularly stated, but it would certainly be regarding the success of the forthcoming presidential election.
Prince Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the PDP, confirmed Clinton’s expected visit; “We are aware; we have nothing to hide. All what we want is credible, fair and acceptable elections. We also don’t want interference from anyone concerning the workings of INEC and the security agents,” he said.
