The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, in a recent statement said that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was never destined to be president.
Oshiomhole’s statement came in his reaction to the rejection of the presidential election result by Atiku and the PDP.
“It borders on arrogance that our future is tied on his presidency. Atiku is destined never to be president of Nigeria,” Oshiomhole said.
“Leadership is about character. Atiku’s desperation is so obvious, so desperate that in 2003, he challenged his own boss, President Olusegun Obasanjo, not to do a second term,” he added.
President Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the APC, in the February 23 Presidential Election, was declared winner of the poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Atiku and his party, PDP, however rejected the result, saying that the election was not free and fair.
