The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has called on the United Nations (UN) and the United Kingdom, to ask the Nigerian Government to produce it leader, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, who according to reports has been missing since an alleged attack at his residence by the Nigerian Army.
The statement was released by Comrade Emma Powerful, IPOB’ Media and Publicity Secretary. According to him, the Operation Python Dance II in the South-East region is genocide. He further accused the SE Governors of collaborating with the Nigerian Government to attack unarmed people.
“Ever since the brutal assault that left 28 persons dead inside his compound, including two of his cousins, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, along with his parents , His Royal Majesty Eze Sir Israel Kanu and Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Kanu, has not been seen.
“The video footage of the assault and the extent of destruction wreaked on his family home are in the public domain. Video clips and photographs of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s bedroom riddled with bullet holes from the guns of the Nigerian soldiers that stormed the palace are evident.
“The soldiers also took away a lot of valuable materials from the palace. It is the duty of the civilized nations to ask President Buhari, General Buratai and the governors of the South East what they did with our leader because we will not stop until justice is done. The world has a moral duty and obligation to put an end to dictatorial regimes such as we are witnessing in Nigeria today.”
