Good Day Nigeria! Here’s our picks on today’s top buzzing stories in Naija. Enjoy!

1. The Nigeria Police has confirmed the invitation of Mrs. Busola Dakolo and her husband, pupolar singer, Timi Dakolo, over the recent rape allegation against the founder of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.

The couple, who few weeks ago accused Pastor Fatoyinbo, of rape, were summouned to the police headquarter on Tuesday over alleged criminal conspiracy, falsehood, mischief and threat to life.

It is however interesting to know that nothing has been said by the police of the man who was accused of rape.

The Dakolo’s had filed a petition to the police over the rape issue, but nothing is being done to investigate Pastor Fatoyinbo or at least the public does not know if there’s an investigation on going. Read Naija Buzz News report

2. The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has technically given President Muhammadu Buhari a five working day ultimatum to submit the list of his ministerial nominees for screening.

The Punch revealed that Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, the Chairman Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Media and Public Affairs, said that the red chamber would proceed on its annual two months recess this week if Buhari fails to submit the list.

Senator Adeyeye however stated that the senate was not actually giving the president an ultimatum, but the schedule of the senate would go ahead if Buhari fails to submit his ministerial nominees this week. Read More

3. On Saturday in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, villager from Jimrawa, one of the communities in the state being terrorized by bandits, stormed the Zamfara State Government House with the corpse of one of their people who was killed by bandits.

The villagers who were received by the State Commissioner of Police, Usman Nagogo, noted that despite the peace efforts by the government, the bandits were still killing their people, saying that over 30 had been killed in the past few days.

According to the villagers, the peace effort to end the killings by the current government in place was not working. More detail on Naija Buzz News
