1. Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (Shiites), alleges that he and his wife, Zeenat, are suffering metal poisoning caused by gunshot pellets in their body system.
The Shiite leader stated this at the Federal High Court in Kaduna through their lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN).
The couple seeks court permission to travel to India for medical treatment, saying that the metabolic poisoning is 200% higher than normal in their body systems following the gunshot injuries they sustained from convoy soldiers of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai.
2. The Ondo State Government and Afenifere, the apex Yoruba socio-political group, have vehemently condemned and rejected a vigilante group alleged setup by Fulani herdsmen in the state.
The state government immediately ordered the arrest of the group which described themselves as the Miyetti Allah Vigilante Group.
The Fulani men further alleged that they were on a joint patrol with the police.
3. Senator Shehu Sani, the former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District, alleges that the North is only tolerating President Muhammadu Buhari because he is from the region.
He noted that the Northern region failed to hold the president accountable despite the killings and destruction under his administration.

4. Usman Umar, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Operations under the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, has been confirmed dead following Monday’s protest by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (Shiites) which turned violent.
The protest which became violent and bloody grounded the Abuja metropolis on Monday.
Apart from the DCP who was shot dead, Precious Owolabi, an NYSC member reporting for Channels TV, was killed by a stray bullet and some members of the Shiite group were gunned down too. Many also sustained injuries in the clash.
