1.Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari would not support what he described as the lawlessness of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole. Okorocha noted that Buhari is too decent to support Oshiomhole’s unlawful actions. “Adams Oshiomhole has done so many strange things with the party and it would be wrong for anybody to think that President Buhari, known for his penchant for decency, honesty and forthrightness would be on the same page with the national chairman,” he said.
2. Gbemisola Saraki, the sister of Senate President Bukola Saraki, has said that she would work hard to ensure that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) produces the next governor of Kwara State. She noted that Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq must emerge winner of the next Saturday governorship election in the state. “We can’t stop until progressives lead all states to the next level of our collective prosperity. So for each and every one of us, we must not relent, we have the elections of next Saturday, March 9 to go. In my state, Kwara, we are all out to ensure that AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq of our party, the APC, emerges the next governor of Kwara State, Insha Allah,” she said.
3. The leadership of Jamaatu Nasril Islam under the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’adu Abubakar III, has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his re-election and urged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, to accept the result of the election.
4. Prince Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would be shocked at the shocking revelations the PDP will present at the tribunal. “We will shock both Buhari and the APC at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal with facts and figures. We will also show videos and other ways through which the APC, INEC and the military collaborated to rig the election. The world and the entire country will see the details of what happened. We will reveal what they never believed we saw,” Secondus said.
5. The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called an emergency National Caucus meeting. The meeting will be held at its secretariat in Abuja on Monday. The party seeks the support of its members to seek redress in court over the outcome of the presidential election which President Muhammadu Buhari was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
