“In the borrowing, we are still at 19 per cent to GDP; our borrowing is still low,” she said.

“What is allowed by our Fiscal Responsibility Act is the maximum of 25 per cent of our GDP compared to other countries like Ghana, Egypt, South Africa, Angola and Brazil and we are the lowest in terms of borrowing,” she added.

2. The Presidency on Tuesday said that it expects every state of the federation to comply and pay the N30,000 new National Minimum Wage.

Senate Ita Enang, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), while speaking with The Punch said; “the governors and the local governments were all heard before eventually it was agreed that N30,000 should be the minimum wage from the initial demand of labour.

“I don’t think we should entertain any fears until there is any implementation problem.”

Tinubu had in a statement on Sunday which was published on Naija Buzz accused the leaders of the National Assembly, Dogara and Senate President Bukola Saraki of hijacking the budget process for 4 years and padding the budgets with their pet projects.
