1. The Federal Government said that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was not setup to fight for anyone or any group but rather to destabilize Nigeria. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, stated this on Sunday at a press conference in Lagos.

2. The National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief John Oyegun, tells Nigerians to bear with the ruling party over current economic hardship.

3. President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday had a closed door meeting with some governors of the northern states perhaps over the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The Centre for Social Justice, Equity and Transparency has expressed support for the proscription of the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) by the South-East Governors and the declaration of IPOB by the Nigerian Armed Forces as a terrorist organization. The group also demanded for the arrest of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the group.
