1. The Bayelsa State Government at the 79th session of the state executive council meeting held in Yenagoa, the state capital, approved the sum of N1.3billion for the purchase of instructional materials and other necessary education materials that would aid learning at the various boarding schools in the state.

2. At the foundation laying ceremony of the new state polytechnic in Ogun State, Governor Ibikunle Amosun, said that the institution will be run as a multi-campus. Adding that the school will have campuses at Imeko and Idiroko areas of the state.

3. Otunba Segun Adewale, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in South West, who was a former Chairman of Lagos State Chapter of the PDP, has called on Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the Chairman of the PDP National Caretaker Committee, to ensure true and sincere reconciliation of all aggrieved members in the SW zone.

4. President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Nigeria for New York on Sunday to participate in the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly along with other world leaders. Buhari is expected to meet with President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America.
