Two National House of Representatives members have rejected the endorsement of Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila as candidate for the position of the Speaker of the House.
Mr. John Dyegh from Benue State following the endorsement of Gbajabiamila declared his intention to contest the position.
The APC members-elect had meet with President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of the party at a dinner on Tuesday at the presidential villa Abuja.
At the meeting, the speakership position was zoned to the South-West, while the deputy speaker position was zoned to North-Central.
Oshiomhole who spoke at the dinner also insisted that the ruling party would not work nor share power with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which he described as the devil.
However, Dyegh who is from Benue State, North-Central, alongside his colleague Mr. Mohammed Bago from Niger State, North-Central, have rejected the zoning, saying that their zone had been marginalised in the leadership of the House since 1999.
Mohammed further noted that their decision can only be reconsidered if the APC zoned the speakership position to another zone apart from the South-West.
