Part of the N7.44trillion 2017 Budget will be financed with recovered looted money – Buhari’s aide

Okoi Obono-Obla, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Prosecutions, while speaking with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday said that the 2017 Budget will be partly funded with recovered looted money.

“About 20 per cent of this year`s budget will be financed from our recovery effort,’’ he said.

He noted that the federal Government will seek for permission from the National Assembly to use the funds.

Mr. Obono-Obla conmmended the Buhari-led All Progressive Congree government, noting that it had ensured the stability of the country and destroyed corruption in public offices.
