The Nigeria Police Force has reportedly apprehended some suspects allegedly involved in the murder of the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh (rtd), who was killed on December 18, 2018 while returning from his farm.
According to reports, the suspects will be paraded at the Police Headquarter in Abuja on Thursday.
“We have made a breakthrough in the case and we’ve arrested suspects who will be paraded on Thursday,” an undisclosed source told Punch.
Following the assassination of the former general, men of the Nigerian Air Force, the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team and the men of the Nasarawa State Police Command moved into action to apprehend the killers.
Report has it that the killers were local highway bandits who torment people on the road. They kill and abduct people.
Badeh was not the only one in the vehicle the day he was killed, he was with his friend and his driver. The other two survived.
His friend was abducted by the bandits who killed the retired general, but however released eventually after ransom was paid.
His military guards were few kilometers away when the attack happened.
