“EFCC to grill Jibrin again this week over N418m contracts”

Mr. Abdulmumin Jibrin, the former Chairman of House Committee on Appropriation
Reports indicate that the former Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Mr. Abdulmumuni Jibrin, will be facing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in another grilling session over an alleged N418million fraudulent contract award linked to his companies.
We reported few days ago, particularly on August 10, 2016 about how Mr. Jibrin was grilled for about 7 hours in our post titled “EFCC grilled Mr. Jibrin for 7 hours yesterday”.
It looks like more trouble is gathering up for the lawmaker as the Anti-Corruption Unit of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in a recent petition accused Mr. Jibrin of siphoning about N418million through his firms, M/S Eash Progressive Ventures and Eleku Construction Limited.
Confirming this report, a source from the EFCC told Punch that Mr. Jibrin would be invited before the end of this week to answer questions concerning the fresh accusation;
“Our operatives will before the end of the week, invite him to answer questions relating to the fresh petition.” The undisclosed source said.
