1. Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, the Head of Service of the Federation, in her memo to Mr. Abba Kyari, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, said that Buhari was aware of the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina, the wanted former Chairman of the Pension Reforms Commission. She added that she warn Mr. President against Maina’s reinstatement into the civil service.

2. Nigerians have demanded the prosecution of the sacked Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir Lawal, and the former Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ayodele Oke. Buhari on Monday finally acted on the report submitted to him by the investigative panel headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on allegation of financial impropriety against Lawal and Oke.

3. Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday asked the Federal High Court in Abuja to set aside the subpoena ordering him to appear in court as a witness to testify in defence of Chief Olisa Metuh, a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The Ex-President sought an order directing Metuh to deposit with the court on his behalf the sum of N1billion to cover his travelling expenses for himself and his security personnel from his home town, Otuoke to Abuja.

4. Mr. Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, told journalist that the nation’s security agencies can go after the sacked Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir Lawal, and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mr. Ayo Oke.
