1. The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has reportedly ordered Chief Medical Directors and Medical Directors of Federal Hospitals to immediately engage the services of locum doctors on internship pending the resolution of the ongoing strike by the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD).

3. The Rt. Rev. Tunde Adeleye, the Bishop of Calabar Diocese, Anglican Communion, in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State, on Tuesday while speaking with journalists, warned that Nigeria will crash of the agitation for restructuring is ignored. “There must be restructuring and unless this is done, I fear that we may crash as a country. I am not prophesying doom neither am I being pessimistic; however, at this rate where the centre is heavily loaded with money and the states and local governments are not having anything to celebrate, these things will crash us unless we restructure.” He said
4. President Muhammadou Issoufou of Niger Republic, on Tuesday, visited President Muhammadu Buhari at his hometown in Daura, Katsina State. Issoufou said that he visited Buhari to see him and wish him well for his return from medical vacation. According to him, the people of Niger were happy at the return of President Buhari in good health.
