On Friday, leaders of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led a protest at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The PDP leaders demanded for the cancellation of the Osun Re-run Governorship election which led to the emergence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, as winner of the election.
The protest was led by Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara; Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Ex-Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, Prince Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the PDP and others.
The PDP leaders want the party’s candidate in the election, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to be declared winner of the election.
