1. An Abuja Federal High Court of Monday dismissed Senator Dino Melaye’s application challenging his recall process in court. The senator who represents Kogi West Senatorial District had approached the court to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from proceed with his recall. However, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba noted that the electorate who voted him into office still has the right to recall him.

2. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, in his reaction to the incident that happened on Sunday evening between the Nigerian army and residence of Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, said that the Chief of Army Staff. Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, wants Biafrans to take arms. Army however denied invading Kanu’s residence, saying that suspect IPOB militants blocked its operatives who were on procession.

3. The Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Oyegun, said that the party has submitted its restructuring framework to the federal government.
