Video: President does not need to ask the Senate to confirm Magu. Nigerians are dealing with criminals called Senators – Femi Falana

Human Rights activist, Femi Falana, says that the president does not need to seek confirmation from the Senate regarding the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu.

According to him, Section 171 of Nigeria’s constitution gives no provision for the confirmation of the EFCC Chairman.

He added that over 50 lawmakers are currently under EFCC probe, consequently, they will never approve Magu.
